You know how important this election is. Don’t let everyone else make the decision for you.
Note to College Students:
The Supreme Court case Symm v. U.S. protects your right as a college student to register to vote in your college community. This means you can register with your campus address and vote in the town where you go to school. Generally, we recommend that you register where you go to school to make it easier on you.
The site may be down occasionally over the next 24 hours or so. I am moving the site to my own hosting and I don’t know how smooth the transition will be.
If it’s Tuesday it’s time for “Music I’m Loving” for this week of Oct. 14,2008. My weekly review of some album, single, EP, etc. that I’m in love with. This week is Christina Aguilera’s “Keeps Gettin’ Better”
I had intended to talk about the two new Fall Out Boy singles that have been released in the last two weeks but, since I’ve already done a post about them and I haven’t featured a female artist yet, I decided that this would be the week I’d end that.
For some reason we’ve been teleported back ten years and both Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears are on the charts, it’s amazing how that works out isn’t it. However, it isn’t a surprise who has the better track. At the risk of sounding overly effeminate, I’ve preferred Christina Aguilera over Spears since back in the 90’s, although that may have something to do with her being the slut-ier one back then, ah how times change.
At any rate, Christina Aguilera is in a completely different league than Britney now and this song proves it. Keeping with the semi-retro sound that she’s perfected over the past few years, this song is very strong and just as catchy.
That’s it for this week, remember “Music I’m Loving” is a weekly feature on “Justin Lamb Presents: A Blog!” and is posted each Tuesday. So, be sure to check back next Tuesday, or sooner.

The blatant anger, hatred, and racism at some of the McCain-Palin rallies over the past several days is just disgusting. It’s time that people get called out for it.
Barack Obama is a good man, whether you agree with him or not. I’ve posted the following video before, but I think it is time for people to see it again.
There is no place for racism and hatred in America, Period.
We made the trek back to Portsmouth, Ohio yesterday to see Barack Obama. It was a great event, and I got to shake Barack’s hand and stand behind the podium so that was pretty cool.
If it’s Tuesday it’s time for “Music I’m Loving” for this week of Oct. 7,2008. My weekly review of some album, single, EP, etc. that I’m in love with. This week is T.I. and Rihanna’s “Live Your Life”
I heard this first, as I’m sure a lot of you did as well, on the VMA’s a few weeks ago. Ever since, I’ve been waiting for it to be released so that I could talk about it here.
This is my second week in a row of rejoicing for those hip hop/rap artists who actually take chances and don’t just throw some meaningless words on top of a good beat. In a cultural climate where someone like Soulja Boy and Flo Rida can make it to the top of the charts, I’m so excited by people like T.I. and Kanye who actually exert some effort in what they’re doing.
This song is really catchy without being completely mindless, and isn’t that refreshing for a change.

Learned this song in Ohio this weekend. This was the best video of someone doing that I could find on Youtube, but I have to say that I’m a much a bigger fan of our folk/bluegrass version.
Tonight, myself and some other UK students, are leaving for Portsmouth, Ohio. We’re going to be knocking on doors, making phone calls, etc. to help get Barack Obama elected. Hence, I will not be able to make any blog posts this weekend.
However, if you are interested in helping out, go to my.barackobama.com to get involved. You can make phone calls from your cell phone to battleground states near you, or go out and canvas in your own neighborhoods this weekend. Remember, Politics is determined by those who show up; So get on it.
Also, to those of you who have iPhones, check out the new Obama iPhone App. It really is a cool app and can help you do a lot of good for the campaign.
If it’s Tuesday it’s time for “Music I’m Loving” for this week of Sept. 30,2008. My weekly review of some album, single, EP, etc. that I’m in love with. This week is Kanye’s newest single, “Love Lockdown”
As a disclaimer, I think I should note that I am one of those people who believes that Kanye West can do no wrong, so bear that in mind.
Anyway, Kanye’s newest single represents one of the fundamental things that I love about this guy: he’s willing to take chances. That’s not to say that this is a monumental song or that he is doing something that has never been done before, but it does challenge his established fan base.
Based on the reviews in the iTunes store, this track is kind of controversial among fans; Some people love it, others can’t stand it, if fall in the former category (obviously, or why would I be writing about it).
It’s an uncharacteristically stripped down song, where Kanye uses a very T-Pain-ish vocal synth.
Overall, I think it is a great song and I cannot wait until the full album comes out in November.

I finally got around to uploading all of the pictures and videos I took during my trip to Denver for the DNC. There are far too many to post on the blog, but if you want to check them out look here.
Keep in mind that this also includes the road trip from Kentucky to Colorado, that would be the reason there are so many pictures of Prairie dogs and mountains.
